Over the years, there have been some great professional sports logos. Below are our top 10. A couple of things to keep in mind: Our choices are solely from professional sports teams so if we’re missing your favorite college logo, that’s why. Moreover, we’ve only chosen logos. If we were ranking helmets or uniforms, our choices might be different. For example, the St. Louis Rams’ and Minnesota Vikings’ helmets are different than their actual logo. So here our our choices:
NEW YORK ISLANDERS
The Islanders have the best logo in sports history. Everything is there—the “NY,” Long Island, a hockey stick and puck to boot.
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Why did the Pats ever change their logo? It’s the best in NFL history.
BOSTON CELTICS
Just classic. What’s not to love?
NEW YORK METS
Similar to the Islanders. The dark silhouette of NYC on the baseball is awesome.
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Even though there is nothing football-related on this logo and it contains creamsicle-orange colors, we still love it and love when the Bucs wear their retro uniforms.
NEW ORLEANS JAZZ
Why did Utah keep the name the “Jazz?” It makes no sense at all.
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
A penguin playing hockey is pretty cool.
ST. LOUIS CARDINALS
The second bird on the bat makes all the difference. If only one bird sat there, we wouldn’t love this logo quite so much.
DENVER ROCKETS
From 1969 to 1974, the Denver franchise of the ABA was called the “Rockets.” In the 1974-75 season, they changed their name to the “Nuggets” and subsequently moved to the NBA in 1976.
MIAMI DOLPHINS
Although the Dolphins have just “modernized” their logo; we like the old classic look.

Where are the Yankees?
How could you NOT include the first NFL team to ever have a logo on their helmets, the Cleveland / L.A. / St. Louis RAMS??? Those classic RAMS horns were the best looking helmets in the NFL for years – and practically still are!
Chief Wahoo is easily the best logo in sports.
