Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round, 33rd overall in the 1991 NFL Draft. Favre agreed to a three-year, $1.4 million contract. Atlanta coach Jerry Glanville, who was against drafting Favre, said it would take a plane crash for him to put Favre into a game. Favre’s first pass in a regular season game resulted in an interception returned for a touchdown. He only attempted four passes in his Falcon career, resulting in no completions and two interceptions. His only other snap resulted in a sack. In the following off-season, he was traded to the Green Bay Packers where he embarked on a Hall-of-Fame career.
